Frequently Asked Questions
Am I eligible for a tariff refund?
If your business imported goods into the United States between February 2025 and February 2026 and paid duties under IEEPA tariff codes, you may be eligible. Our free eligibility check takes about two minutes.
Which tariffs were ruled unconstitutional?
The Supreme Court ruled 6-3 that tariffs imposed under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) were unconstitutional. This includes fentanyl tariffs and reciprocal tariffs. Section 301 tariffs on China and Section 232 tariffs on steel and aluminum were not part of this ruling.
What does it cost?
Nothing upfront. We work on a contingency basis — our fee is a percentage of the refund we recover for you. If we don't recover anything, you don't pay anything.
How long does the process take?
Our analysis typically takes a few business days after you upload your data. The CBP refund timeline depends on government processing, which can take several weeks to months. We keep you updated throughout.
Do I need to file a lawsuit?
In most cases, no. Refunds are processed through CBP's administrative protest system. If a case needs to go to the Court of International Trade, we handle that as well.
What data do I need to provide?
Your import entry data — you can download this from the CBP ACE portal or request it from your customs broker. The key fields are entry numbers, entry dates, HTS codes, and duty amounts.
What are the filing deadlines?
Deadlines vary by entry. Some entries may expire as early as August 2026. The sooner you submit your data, the more time we have to file on your behalf.
Is my data secure?
Yes. All data is encrypted and protected by attorney-client privilege. We never share your information with third parties. Our systems use bank-level security standards.
What if I already work with a customs broker?
That's fine. Your broker can provide the data we need. We've even prepared a pre-written email you can send to your broker requesting the right export.
What if some of my entries aren't eligible?
Our analysis separates eligible entries from non-eligible ones and explains why. You only pay a fee on entries that result in a refund.
